Definitely secluded. When I retired to my cabin I knew there would be very little human contact. Wife and I will go for days without seeing anyone. The wildlife keeps us entertained. While our cabin isn't exactly camping, it's extremely similar. When we do go to town for groceries and other supplies our conversation is usually about how quickly we can get back. Here's a picture from my game camera yesterday afternoon, about all the contact I want.

You know, do you like to be in the middle of a dozen other campers or do you try to find a secluded spot out of sight and earshot of others.
For me - I seek out the most secluded spot I can find. If I need human contact, I'll go to Wal-Mart.
I talk to the squirrels. Does that count? :p

I try to find a secluded spot and don't tend to socialize with folks beyond a nod when I cross paths with someone on the trail.

My longest sentence is likely when I am walking onto a fishing dock and I see another fisherman. "Fish biting?"

We like privacy and seek to avoid campfire smoke whenever possible (left Yellowstone a week early one year when we got smoked out). We've learned to look for prevailing wind patters when picking a camping spot or making reservations!
Despite liking privacy and the solitude of nature - I'll often pull out the guitar and strum and sing and more often than not, folks will stop by - some to listen (and the ones with good taste stop to complain - kidding - mostly).

Time and place for anything...
